Gangsta Culture Expanded

As I read the "Gangsta Culture" article  I was able to relate to the article a bit. The "gangsta" life is glorified in music so men who live in the "ghetto" want to pursue a life of crime. To see thte fancy cars drive the neighborhood and to see the gangstas with the so called "ice" and nice clothes is ery envious. Its a quick means of money and a "good life".Black men in society think that they have to stoop to a live of illegal crime to make a quick dollar. Many of the men who choose this way of life are smart and often times learn to play the system very well. And can also manage to get caught. I feel that since some black men cant be the rappers that they see on tv that they choose to make their money this way. Although some turn to the "gangsta life" as a means of survival others are in it for the lifestyle. Just to ride in the fancy cars and to wear the nice jewlery. A lot of black men are behind bars because of the what it signifies. To go to jail means to be a thug. To go to jail almost means to have earned your stripes in black society. The life of a gangsta signifies money cash and clothes. Which is looked at by some as a good thing.
